And the winner is...

Big Tex and SRO Associates

July 1st, 2014

BIG TEX  was just voted #1 for best quirky landmark after 4 weeks of serious competition.

This larger-than-life cowboy has been a part of the State Fair of Texas since 1952. On the 19th of October 2012, (Big Tex's 60th birthday) an electrical fire started in Big Tex's boot. In just minutes, the 60 year old monument was completly destroyed.

But this landmark was loved by so many, they decided to have him recontructed. This task was given to our very own SRO Associates! After nearly a year of planning and hard work, the revived Big Tex was revealed... and he got even bigger!

Here are some amazing facts about Big Tex!
