How to Avoid Common Mistakes

Sculptural enlargements can run into problems when viewing angle is not taken into account. For many sculptures which are going be installed flat on the ground in simple surroundings this is less of an issue, because a ‘ground level’ viewing angle is easy to replicate in the shop. However, if a sculpture is going to be placed in more unusual position such as on a monument, in a suspended or hanging location, on the top of building or in a busy topography with many areas of focus, viewing angles become more complex. Here proportion and scale often need to be adjusted to maintain the integrity of the piece as a whole.
